Creating Ceramic Art Using Indonesian Cultural Elements to Enrich Local Ceramic Craft Culture

Ceramics have spread across various regions in Indonesia. These ceramic products are produced using techniques and styles. However, not many producers use Indonesia’s culture to inspire their products. The purpose of this research was enrich variants. process involved: (1) local Indonesian reviewed as the basis for creation; (2) artwork created based on culture; (3) a range shapes from certain cultural elements were explored applied; (4) visualizations shaping campus studio Art Design Department, Faculty Literature, State University Malang, stoneware earthenware materials processed by manual machines; clay collected Southern Malang region, mixed with quartz kaolin; (5) finishing carried out; (6) final creation analyzed. It is expected that will add value enriching culture, especially art.
